ILA GAUSS and Board of Directors Meetings

At each Convention and Technical Symposium, the ILA Board of Directors meets before and after the technical sessions to conduct ILA business and further the cause of Loran. In 2006 one of the principal action items was to respond to the threat of closure and destruction of Loran stations of the Northwest Europe Loran System (NELS). 

 

GAUSS (GLobal AUgmentation of Satellite Systems is an ILA special committee which regularly meets during conventions. GAUSS seeks to standardize equipment and services related to Loran. Many of the members of the ILA Board of Directors also serve on GAUSS, 

so the meetings are somewhat indistinguishable.
